Bernice “Bernie” Krulik August 12, 1948 – July 18, 2026 Bernice “Bernie” Krulik, age 77, left her family and friends here on Earth on July 18, 2026, to reunite with Brian. Bernie lived an adventurous life. She traveled across the states, working different jobs and making memories wherever life took her. Eventually, she found her way to Wisconsin, and along the way, she found something even more special—people who became her family. Bernie had a way of turning friends into family, and she was loved by many. She met Joanne and Dennis Marlette and their late son, Brian Walsh, and shared many wonderful times with them. She loved her pool parties, having a few drinks, and simply enjoying good company and good conversation. She also became part of the Rands family, getting to know Troy and Angie and their children, Jen, Taisha, and Chloe. Bernie especially enjoyed having Jacob, also known as “Cubby,” around. Taisha’s fiancé, Cubby, was always there to help Bernie around the house and yard, and she truly appreciated having him in her life. Bernie loved the grandkids, Meabh and Iver, and they could always count on Grandma Bernie to have some fresh-baked treats waiting for them. Those little moments were some of the sweetest memories she left behind. She loved shopping, watching the birds, and keeping an eye on the deer—although she wasn't quite so happy when those deer decided to snack on her flowers! Bernie also enjoyed the friendship and company of all the taxi drivers from On Time Taxi, who became another special part of her extended family. Bernie was one strong lady—and she was very sassy! She beat cancer a couple of times and kept right on going. She was a fighter, a survivor, and someone who lived life in her own way. Bernie may not have been related to all of us by blood, but she didn't need to be. She chose us, and we chose her. She became part of our families, our lives, and our hearts. She was our friend, our neighbor, our adopted family, and, in so many ways, someone we were lucky enough to call our own. We will miss her more than words can say. We will miss her laughter, her stories, her sass, her pool parties, her fresh-baked treats, and all the little things that made Bernie uniquely Bernie. We hope she is now at peace and reunited with Brian. Until we meet again, Bernie, know that you were loved, you were family, and you will never be forgotten. Rest easy, Bernie. We love you, and we will miss you greatly
