Lynn Marie Ferger

Lynn Marie Ferger, age 77,of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, at Beloit Memorial Hospital ,surrounded by her loving family. Lynn was born on July 21,1949, in Madison, Wisconsin, to James and Gloria (Gilchrist) Hebblethwaite. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1967.Lynn began her career with the Wisconsin Telephone Company and later worked as a secretary for several companies before spending 13 years at Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville. Lynn married the love of her life, Steven Ferger, on August 31,1968, at Second Congregational Church, where they first met. They shared a wonderful 58 years together, building a life filled with family, travel, laughter, and countless memories. Lynn loved to travel and camp and spent many summers taking her brothers, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren on adventures around the country. She volunteered as a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader and spent countless hours attending and supporting events involving her children and grandchildren. One of Lynn's favorite places was their home in Laughlin, Nevada, where she enjoyed the warm weather, the pool, and, most of all, entertaining family and friends. She especially loved having her grandchildren visit and creating special memories with them in Laughlin. In her free time, Lynn enjoyed reading, playing games, and putting together puzzles. She especially enjoyed playing Rummikub with friends, where there was always plenty of conversation, laughter, and a little friendly competition. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and the memories they created together. Lynn had a special way of bringing people together. She loved having a full house, a game to play, a story to tell, or a trip to look forward to. Her adventurous spirit was perhaps best captured by something she often said "Just give me my van, and l can go anywhere; And she did. Lynn was always ready for the next adventure, especially if it meant spending time with the people she loved. Her greatest joy was watching her family grow and being part of her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter's lives. Whether traveling across the country, gathering around the pool in Laughlin, enjoying a game of Rummikub with friends, or simply spending an afternoon together, Lynn understood that the ordinary moments often became the memories that lasted a lifetime. She will be remembered for her love of family ,her generosity with her time, her adventurous spirit, and the many memories she created for those around her. While her family will deeply miss her presence, they will carry those memories-and the love she gave so freely-with them for years to come. Lynn is survived by her husband, Steve Ferger; daughter, Anne Ferger Beasley:;son, Adam(Brooke)Ferger; brothers, Lee(Pam)Hebblethwaite and Mark Hebblethwaite; grandchildren, Caleb(Shannon)Ferger, Maddisen Ferger, Dylan Ferger, Kayla Beasley, and Trey Beasley; and great-granddaughter, Chloe Lynn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Gloria Hebblethwaite;, her parents-in-law, Buck and Bev Ferger; and various friends and extended family members. Lynn's funeral and celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at United Church of Beloit, formerly known as Second Congregational Church, 657 Bluff St, Beloit, WI. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 11AM. In lieu of flowers ,memorial donations may be made in Lynn's name to United Church of Beloit.
