Delores E. Williams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Delores Evelyn Williams, 76, departed her earthly life on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Beloit Memorial Hospital, Beloit, Wisconsin. Delores, born May 16, 1945, in Vaiden, Mississippi. Delores, along with her mother, father, and four siblings, at a young age, moved to Freeport, Illinois, and was a resident for much of her life. Delores graduated from Freeport High School in 1964 and married her soulmate Freddie Williams in 1968. Delores worked as a salesclerk in local shops in Freeport in her late teens and twenties and worked for the Micro Switch division of Honeywell in her thirties and 40s. However, most of all, she was a loving, compassionate mother of two children. Tracey (50) and Fredrick (44) Delores was always there with an open-heart, and open mind, with her famous warm smile, and infectious giggle. Delores was preceded in death by her husband Freddie Williams, father, Homer Cunningham Sr., mother, Mary Cunningham (Ellis), sister, Irene Chester (Morton), brothers Homer Cunningham Jr. and Roy Cunningham (Betty). She is survived by Tracey Williams, daughter, Frederick Williams, son, Frances Taylor (Russell), sister, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins who love and will miss her dearly. Due to the concerns over the Omicron variant of COVID-19, Delores’s immediate family has elected to forgo memorial services at this time. Instead, the family will schedule a celebration of life service for Delores, close family members, and friends later in 2022.
