Dustin Lee Jaquith

Dustin “Dusty” Jaquith was born on August 31, 1982, and passed away on August 24, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, music, stories, and more than a few strong opinions. Dusty was a self-proclaimed “asshole,” and he probably would have been the first to tell you so. But those who truly knew him knew that beneath the rough exterior was a man with an enormous heart. Dusty was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He cared deeply for the people he loved and would go out of his way to help someone who needed him. He always had an opinion and he was never afraid to share it. Whether you asked for it or not, Dusty was going to tell you exactly what he thought. His honesty, stubbornness, humor, and unmistakable personality were all part of what made him who he was. He had a way of making an impression, and anyone who knew him will have their own stories to tell. Dusty had a deep love for music. It was something that brought him joy and became part of the memories he leaves behind. There will always be certain songs that bring his voice, his laughter, or a particular memory of him rushing back. Above all, Dusty was a husband and father. He leaves behind his wife, Jessie; his daughter, Jillian; his son, Robert; his brother, Jason; and his mother, Carolyn. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and the many people who were lucky enough to call him family. Those who loved Dusty will miss all of him the good, the difficult, the hilarious, the stubborn, and the wonderfully imperfect. They will miss his opinions, his humor, his voice, his love of music, and the way he could somehow make an ordinary moment into a memory. Dusty may have called himself an asshole, but those who knew his heart knew the truth. He was generous. He was loyal. He loved his people. And he would give you the shirt off his back. He was Dustin. He was Dusty. He was one of a kind. And he was loved. May the music he loved continue to play, may his stories continue to be told, and may his family and friends always carry a piece of him with them. Rest easy, Dusty.
