Celebrating the Life of Katrina Broomfield Katrina was born in Chicago IL on February 15, 1982, to her parents, Mary Alice Broomfield and Abe Booth. She was a lively and soulful person. She always had everyone’s best interest at heart. Often giving of herself and time to others who were in need. Katrina was a beautiful person inside and out. As she grew into adulthood, she decided to add another title to her role. Not only was she a daughter, sister, cousin, and aunt. In 2005 she became a mother, giving birth to twin boys. As the years went on, she gave birth three more times, giving birth to her only daughter and two more sons. The love she had for her children was undeniable. She would always attend family functions and even host a few in her home. She embraced her family every chance she got. She gave of herself even when there was nothing left to give. She was truly a remarkable woman. Katrina succumbed to her illness on November 10, 2023. She leaves behind five children Jaylen Broomfield, Jayden Broomfield, Janee Broomfield, Javaris Broomfield, and Jamareha Baker. She also leaves behind seven siblings, Adrienne Broomfield (preceded her in death), Antionette Coutee, Kenneth Broomfield, Lamont Broomfield, Elisa Pride, Corey Hackler, and Samethia Broomfield. Her mother Mary Alice Broomfield (preceded her death) and Father Abe Booth and a host of friends. Cremation rites will be accorded. No services are planned at this time. . On behalf of your children: To our precious mother, we would never have thought you would leave us so soon. We know you fought hard to fight that monster that took over your body. We understand that God needs you, but we needed you more. At least you’re up there with your sister & mom. This was never the plan for you to leave us so soon. We promise to make you proud and that’s stamped. Won’t ever let nobody play with your name. We appreciate everything that you’ve done for us. Forever Ms. MakeItHappen! Please continue to watch over us & be our guardian angel. Until we meet again our beautiful queen. Hug yall mommas tight because we miss ours dearly. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same . It broke our hearts to lose you ,you did not go alone ; for part of us went with you ,the day god called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you ,you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
