Mack Seay Jr.

Mack “Junior” Seay 87, of Madison, Wisconsin passed peacefully Nov 29th, 2025, at Willowick Memory Care in Beloit Wisconsin. Mack was born on April 4th, 1938, in Paragould, Arkansas to Mack Seay and Nora Seay. Mack was an inspirational man of action who worked hard endlessly, always providing for his family. As a skilled carpenter, he custom built and renovated countless residential homes and commercial buildings launching several exciting “Family Business” ventures in the Madison area, leaving behind a legacy of quality custom carpentry. Mack cherished the time with his family and loved the outdoors. Family picnics, swimming, and boating at the Madison parks were among his favorite things to do. He loved coffee and snowmobile rides. He adored all the family pets and made sure they were well taken care of. Mack had a great sense of humor; he was generous and always ready to help others. Mack is preceded in death by his loving parents, Mack Seay Sr and Nora (Ward) Seay; His son, Mark David Seay; brothers, Alfred Lee Roy, Gerald and Everett; brother-in-law, John LaFontaine and sister-in-law, Jean Seay, niece, Emily Seay and grand-son, David Humphrey. He is survived by his brothers, Will, Virgil, Dan (Linda), Ernie (Sherry) and Vernon Sisters; Loretta (Seay) LaFontaine, Sharon (Seay) Raney Reeves and Mary Seay. His beloved bride and mother of his nine children Shelba Byrnes (married 5/12/56); children Lisa Seay (Paul) Laufenberg, Deborah Seay Humphrey, Guy Seay Powers, Tammy Seay, Michael Seay, Matthew (Michelle) Seay, Shelley Seay, Melody Seay (Joseph) Carroll; 11 grandchildren, 5 Great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Deep gratitude and thank you to Mack’s entire care team: Willowick Memory Care -Beloit, St.Croix Hospice, My Choice Wisconsin, his doctor and all of his nurses. Their angelic loving care and support provides peace and comfort to all. Mack loved the woods and inspired us all to see the forest through the trees. Mack will be remembered with love by family and friends, April 4, 2026, with a memorial garden dedicated in his honor.
